Dutch artist Daan van Doorn

paints contemporary flower still lifes and award-winning portraits. He has developed his own unique style in oil painting: highly diluted paint is allowed to flow freely on the canvas, creating dynamic works of art. Van Doorn is a master in the art of omission. By focusing on the most striking details, he captures the very essence of his subjects. His portraits were commisioned by members of the Dutch royal family and by artists like Philip Glass.
